Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!  I want to share simple ways families can strengthen learning at home-reading together, establishing homework routines, monitoring attendance, limiting distractions, encouraging positive behavior, and setting high expectations. Making parents partners, not spectators.  I want to help and support families whether it be understanding TCAP, attendance, special education, RTI, CTE, dual enrollment, graduation requirements, college and technical education, financial aid, FASFA, career pathways, etc. I will connect parents with resources to assist your learner.  Just give me a call or email.  And  please be on the lookout for Family Events at your schools and the Family Learning Center.

  We are finally in our new location at  Covington Middle School and it is wonderful. We are excited that all children will have devices to use at school.  They are doing many exciting things in the classroom.  The Department of Education and many educational programs are offering free Learning Websites for you to use with your students at home.

Welcome to the Family Learning Center.   We are equipped with a wide variety of materials designed to help parents with various problems they encounter with their children and different stages of their children's development.  Group sessions are held throughout the year on a variety of topics.  Announcement of upcoming Family Nights will be distributed and parents are encouraged to attend.

The Family Learning Center was created in an effort to make materials available to all parents, teachers, or interested persons.  We offer videos, books, games, and special needs information for check-out.  We have hand-out worksheets/information on various subjects to reinforce skills.

We, at the Family Learning Center, want to be available to help you and your child with any problem that may occur, no matter how small.  Remember, parents, you are your child's "First and Most Important Teacher" and we at the Family Learning Center want to help you make this an enjoyable and meaningful experience.
