Family Learning Center

Come visit us at the new Covington Middle School!!!!   Give me a call or send an email, and we will arrange for a personal tour!  Please stop by to see these beautiful new schools and see what the Family Learning Center can do to assist you and your students at home. Reminder that Kindergarten Registration is upon us.  Dates are March 5, April 2, and May 7 from 8:00-6:00 at each of the elementary schools.  If you would like a Getting Ready for Kindergarten packet, please give me a call or email me before the end of the school year and I will make arrangements to get it to you.  Remember your child has to be 5 by August 15, 2026 to be eligible to register for Kindergarten.  We will be hosting a come and go on May 7th from 4:00-5:30 to pick up materials for summer learning.  More information to follow.  Please be on the lookout for Family Events at your schools and the Family Learning Center.

 Welcome!   Happy 2026!  We are finally in our new location at  Covington Middle School and it is wonderful. We are excited that all children will have devices to use at school.  They are doing many exciting things in the classroom.  The Department of Education and many educational programs are offering free Learning Websites for you to use with your students at home.

Welcome to the Family Learning Center.   We are equipped with a wide variety of materials designed to help parents with various problems they encounter with their children and different stages of their children's development.  Group sessions are held throughout the year on a variety of topics.  Announcement of upcoming Family Nights will be distributed and parents are encouraged to attend.

The Family Learning Center was created in an effort to make materials available to all parents, teachers, or interested persons.  We offer videos, books, games, and special needs information for check-out.  We have hand-out worksheets/information on various subjects to reinforce skills.

We, at the Family Learning Center, want to be available to help you and your child with any problem that may occur, no matter how small.  Remember, parents, you are your child's "First and Most Important Teacher" and we at the Family Learning Center want to help you make this an enjoyable and meaningful experience.
