Claiming dental costs — If you have had to pay for Dental costs and have been advised to fill in a HC1 for help towards your health care then you also need to fill this in to claim you money back.

Claiming Optical Costs — If you have had to pay for cost towards your sight care and have been advised to fill in a HC1 form for help towards your health care then you also need to fill this in to claim your money back.

Quality site for advice and up to date Government policy regarding benefits — Great advice on applying and appealing benefits, unfortunately for some information you have to join but reading all the reports from successful applicants, it may be worthwhile.

SSCS1 appeal form for anything DWP related — allow you to appeal decisions. Takes anything up to five weeks, of late a little less, before being logged at the Tribunal Service. With some benefits its dependent on the reason for appeal whether benefit will be reinstated, usually at a base rate, until such time that you have your assessment. IE ESA due to failure at your medical assessment will be paid but if you are appealing due to your money being stopped due to non attendance, then you will not get any benefit until you have won your appeal. The whole process can take up to 12 weeks.
