AJ Thielen grew up in Los Angeles and attended Loyola High School, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. AJ went on to graduate from the University of Arizona, beginning his financial career soon after as a registered representative for a local investment firm. After a year there, he expanded the scope of his practice joining an independent investment advisory firm.

AJ gained experience preparing asset allocations and investment analysis for the firm’s clients while building up his own clientèle for the next nine years.

During that time he passed the Series 6,7,63, and 65 license exams, but currently is only required to hold the Series 65. At that time AJ gained access to Dimensional Fund Advisors mutual funds at a time when only 400 advisors in the USA were allowed to use DFA funds.

AJ’s clients know that he is constantly evaluating new investment options while he continually monitors current investments. AJ utilizes analytical software from Morningstar, Ycharts and reads various newsletters daily as well as doing on-site due diligence at the firms where his clients’ money is invested.

AJ currently consults with about 70 high net worth individuals and seeks to add about 10 clients who can invest $3M.

Pictured to the left AJ has a memoir from relatives who lived in Chicago from 1820 to 1920 before moving to Hancock Park in Los Angeles to pursue the television busines based on novels his great great great granfather had written. IMDB link here

Unfortunately the large tracks of real estate on the South, West and North sides of Chicago are no longer retained by the family but this serves as an example that AJ has it in his genes to work hard accomplish great things.
