Our Parent Coordinator, Jocelyn, maintains information regarding After-School Program options that may be of interest to families. In most cases, program providers open up their registration at the end of the summer. Some of the programs are first-come, first-serve. Some programs may fill up and maintain waitlists.

On site at the Earth School: Learning and Fun
3K - 5th grades will be served in 2026-2027 school year.
Offered Monday-Friday from dismissal to 5:30 pm, Learning and Fun offers a range of activities including tennis, soccer, arts and crafts, literacy, math and science games and experiments, dance and creative movement, field trips to nearby parks and playgrounds. Learning and Fun accepts ACS & HRA vouchers, and financial aid may be available for families in need. On site at the Earth School: Educational Alliance at PS 64
K-5th Grade, Availability varies from year to year.
This COMPASS program is a partnership among DYCD, The Educational Alliance, and P.S 64. They offer activities such as Art Exploration, Drama, Hip Hop Dance, Fitness Classes, cooking, STEM, Music, Yoga, BGCA curriculums and academic enhancement activities. They have some availability for Earth School students this year. Returning families who were in the program last year will have priority for acceptance in to the program this year, before spaces are added to new families. The program maintains a waiting list, from which they do update when a spot opens up. More details and application information can be found on the DYCD portal. 14th Street Y (14th Street at 1st Ave)
For K - 5th Graders
Each afternoon includes two enrichment classes designed for heads, hearts and hands, school pick up, and a healthy snack. Our signature enrichment classes are taught by our specially trained counselors and professional teaching artists. Age-appropriate classes include Photography, Chess, Acrobatics, Crafting, Mad Science, Ballet, Cooking, Martial Arts, Musical Theater, Basketball, Jewelry Making, Zoology, and much more.Swim lessons are also an option. Henry Street Settlement at Boys and Girls Republic (a/k/a "BGR") (888 E 6th Street)
For K - 5th Graders
Serving more than 150 students a year, the Henry Street after-school program at the Boys and Girls Republic (BGR) is a comprehensive, co-ed youth COMPASS program addressing each child’s academic achievement, social development and emotional well-being. BGR’s signature self-government model encourages young people to take an active role in shaping their society and becoming responsible citizens. Henry Street Settlement at Jacob Riis Cornerstone (a/k/a "Cornerstone") (80 Avenue D)
For K - 5th Graders
The Henry Street COMPASS program at Jacob Riis Cornerstone provides youth programs is open to all children ages 5 and older. Programming is designed to reinforce core competencies and promote social and emotional learning through a variety of exciting activities, including: Project-based activities; Creative and performance art; Science, technology, engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); Sports; and Literacy. Graffiti Kids (Graffiti Church, 205 E. 7th Street, Between Ave B & C)
For K - 5th Graders
Graffiti Kids After School is structured as a low-cost, high-quality ministry for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. Activities include homework help; snack time; Bible stories; recreation, crafts, & activities; birthday celebrations; and special events for kids and their families. The program runs Monday-Wednesday from school pick up to 5:30 p.m., in general keeping with the public school calendar and holidays. Children are provided with light meals and snacks.
