Our Parent Coordinator, Jocelyn, maintains information regarding After-School Program options that may be of interest to families. In most cases, program providers open up their registration at the end of the summer. Some of the programs are first-come, first-serve. Some programs may fill up and maintain waitlists.

On site at the Earth School: Learning and Fun
3k, preK, Kinder and First grades will be served in 2026-2027 school year. Second through Fifth grades will be served depending on need.
Offered Monday-Friday from dismissal to 5:30 pm, Learning and Fun offers a range of activities including sports and arts. Learning and Fun accepts ACS & HRA vouchers, and financial aid may be available for families in need. Programs that pick up from the Earth School
14th Street Y (14th Street at 1st Ave)
For K - 5th Graders
Each afternoon includes two enrichment classes designed for heads, hearts and hands, school pick up, and a healthy snack. Our signature enrichment classes are taught by our specially trained counselors and professional teaching artists. Age-appropriate classes include Photography, Chess, Acrobatics, Crafting, Mad Science, Ballet, Cooking, Martial Arts, Musical Theater, Basketball, Jewelry Making, Zoology, and much more.Swim lessons are also an option. 6th Street Youth Program (SSYP) (6th street between Aves B & C)
For 1st-5th Graders
SSYP is an art, urban sustainability, and urban gardening-based youth program for youth grades 1-5. We offer homework support, playtime, and a daily enrichment workshop. For more information, visit the Sixth Street Youth Program website.
Henry Street Settlement at Boys and Girls Republic (BGR) (888 E 6th Street)
For K - 5th Graders
Serving more than 150 students a year, the after-school program at the Boys and Girls Republic (BGR) is a comprehensive, co-ed youth program addressing each child’s academic achievement, social development and emotional well-being. BGR’s signature self-government model encourages young people to take an active role in shaping their society and becoming responsible citizens. Graffiti Kids (Graffiti Church, 205 E. 7th Street, Between Ave B & C)
For K - 5th Graders
Graffiti Kids After School is structured as a low-cost, high-quality ministry for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. Activities include homework help; snack time; Bible stories; recreation, crafts, & activities; birthday celebrations; and special events for kids and their families. The program runs Monday-Wednesday from school pick up at 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., in general keeping with the public school calendar and holidays. Children are provided with light meals and snacks. New York Society of Play (65 Ludlow Street)
For 4th and 5th Graders
