Work Covered in Year 10:

Term 1:

Students complete induction:

- Learning how to plan and create videos and images to a higher standard

- Develop their knowledge of media terminology

- Practise writing an evaluation of how films represent gender using James Bond trailers

Terms 2 and 3:

- Complete an evaluative essay on The Full Monty/Billy Elliot or Diet Coke/Coke Zero

- Create their own print media text based on research

- Evaluate their media texts

Terms 4, 5 and 6:

- Develop their own production portfolio using a range of media to launch a new album

- They will need to include research, questionnaires, consumer feedback and a detailed evaluation

- This can be an individual or group task
