GUTHIKONDA FAMILY FOUNDATION FOR SCHOLARSHIPS/AWARDS
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
The main objectives of the foundation:
To provide financial aid to needy students who are not eligible to receive it from any other source,
To offer incentive Awards and fellowships to meritorious students.
To preach and practice national integrity by holding national festivals, encouraging the participation of youth and women in nation building activities.
To carry out social and cultural activities to help needy people by conducting relief work during natural calamities such as cyclone, famine and earth quake etc.
To fulfill the main aims & objects of the foundation, an initial list of 116 named Scholarships/Awards are instituted by Drs. Ravindra Nath, Padmavathi and Kiran Guthikonda of 289, Savoy Avenue, Edison, New Jersey 08820, USA. Dr. Guthikonda Ravindra Nath S/o Sri Guthikonda Ramabrahmam and Smt. Balamani, Dr. Padmavathi W/o Ravindra Nath and Dr. Kiran S/o Ravindra Nath and Padmavathi, honouring the members of one branch of the Guthikonda Family Tree from 1754-2009 from China Kallepalli Village, Ghantasala mandal in Krishna district, and Moparru Village, Amartalur mandal, of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh, India as related to Sri Guthikonda Subbaiah and Smt. Govindamma, and their son Sri Guthikonda Ramabrahmam and his wife Smt. Balamani. Last three Scholarships/Awards honor the teachers and the former employers of Ravindra Nath Guthikonda.
FUNDS AND ITS DISBURSEMENT
6. During 2010-2015, no more than 4 named Scholarships shall be given to a single recipient of the Scholarship in a year. Thus, the range of the number of recipients per year of study during this period shall be 7-28 based on 4 years of study and the number of named Scholarships each recipient may receive in a given year. No more than 4 meritorious named Awards shall be presented during 2010-2015.
7. During 2016-2025, no more than 3 named Scholarships shall be given to a single recipient of scholarship in a year. Thus, the range of the number of recipients per year of study during this period shall be 9-27 based on 4 years of study and the number of the named Scholarships each recipient may receive in a given year. No more than 8 meritorious named Awards shall be given during 2016-2025.
8. During 2026-2040, no more than 2 named Scholarships shall be given to a single recipient of the scholarship in a year. Thus, the range of the number of recipients per year of study during this period shall be 13-26 based on 4 years of study and the number of named Scholarships each recipient may receive in a given year. No more than 12 meritorious named Awards shall be given during 2026-2040.
9. From 2041, only 1 named Scholarship shall be given to a recipient in a year. Thus, the number of recipients per year of study during this period shall be 25 based on 4 years of study. No more than 16 meritorious named Awards shall be given from 2041.
