Language Homework

Homework will start September 25

One reading/writing homework is to be completed at home every week. Please help your child read and understand this week's new words. The students have to complete the words with the appropriate sound and copy the words in the provided workbook called LITTÉRATIE to complete this homework.

The reading/writing homework will be checked, reviewed and corrected in class and sent back home every Friday. The children can bring back the homework book any day of the week and put it in the blue basket beside our classroom door.

The reading homework posted on this page is the reading/writing homework from September until the December holidays. Your child has to do only one page a week. We will write in the agenda which one will have to be done each week.

If you know you will be away or have a busy week coming, you can choose to do the page for the following week. I will be checking, reviewing and correcting only one page per week.

I'm asking parents to initial the page where your child has completed the reading/writing page of the week.

Please make sure your child writes between the blue lines and forms the letters properly. Your child can make a small picture of the word if he/she chooses to.

Please have your child write the week number before each homework.

Our writing homework is becoming a little more challenging. We will work with sentences instead of words. Your child has to write a sentence describing a picture.

Use the questions

WHEN? WHO? WHAT? WHERE?

to help your child come up with a complete sentence.

Please help your child come up with a complete sentence. The writing homework will be checked, reviewed and corrected in class every Friday as usual. Please make sure your child writes between the blue lines and forms the letters properly. The sentence must start with a capital letter and end with a period. Add adjectives for extra points!

Please skip a line between each week and use the entire page of the cahier. There should be space for more than one homework per page.

Example

How to come up with a complete sentence.

Quand? L’automne

Qui? Le loup

Fait quoi? Marche

Ou? Dans la foret

The children write the week number and the sentence in the workbook.

Example

Semaine #33

L'automne le loup marche dans la foret.
