Newsletters and homework will be sent home on Mondays (Tuesdays if Monday is a holiday.) This year's homework will look different than what has typically been sent home in the past.
It is expected that students will read at home each night and fill in the monthly reading calendar with the amount of minutes read. Parents should initial each night's reading. Calendars are not due until the end of the month.
Students will not be completing math packets or worksheets for homework this year. They are, however, expected to practice their math facts at least three times per week. A recording sheet will be sent home on Mondays and should be returned on Fridays. Look for suggestions for building fact fluency in your child's homework folder.
There is a Homework Signature sheet for each week. Please put the date, your initials and any questions or comments on the sheet and return with your child on Friday.
