About the project

Quality of teaching, ICT skills, European values

This project aimed at improving the quality of foreign language teaching, upgrading the teachers’ ICT skills, and giving European values a bigger role in the teaching practices at Tartu Tamme Gümnaasium.

Like all other schools willing to run an Erasmus+ KA1 project, we had to draw up a European Development Plan to answer the what, the why and the how questions of the project. First and foremost, it was important for the school to change the way our students think of language learning and our teachers think of language teaching. Our second objective was to encourage the teachers' curiosity about digital learning environment. Thirdly, we wanted to build a strong European team for future strategic transnational partnerships.

In retrospect, our project has been very successful. It has boosted our job satisfaction as we’ve grown as professionals and worked through some most burning pedagogical challenges. We’re on our way to use more and more ICT in our teaching, and we’ve been running a wonderful project with six European schools since 2015. What else can we wish for?

We'd like to thank our school for sharing our enthusiasm and supporting our aspirations. Many thanks to SA Archimedes for supporting and guiding us along the way.
