Dr. Elise C. Leahy, Jr. has taught French at SUU since 1992. She has a B.A. in French from the University of Texas at Arlington (1985), and an M.A. (1987) and a PhD (2000), both in French, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While at the UW, Dr. Leahy studied French literature from the medieval period to the twentieth century, with emphases in 19th and 20th century literature, women writers, and theater. Her dissertation analyzed the late twentieth century historical drama of Helene Cixous.
