Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

The Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, or FBLA-PBL is an American career and technical student organization that has it headquarters in Reston, Virginia. Established in 1940, FBLA-PBL is a non-profit organization of high school (FBLA), middle school (FBLA), and college (PBL) students, as well as professional members, who primarily help students transition to the business world. FBLA-PBL is the largest student-run organization in the United States of America, with 253,365 members, and one of the largest business-related organizations in the world. Local FBLA-PBL chapters are often connected to their school's business education department, and most advisers are business education teachers. It is one of the top 10 organization listed by the U.S. Department of Education.

My FBLA students have competed in national level competitions in Orlando, Florida; San Antonio, Texas; Anaheim, California; Chicago, Illinois; Baltimore, Maryland and Atlanta, Georgia. Every year they compete at the state level in Reston, Virginia.

FBLA Students Participating in Project Joy

Project Joy is for less fortunate children in Surry County. “Project Joy” is an organization organized by The Department of Social Services that gives out snowmen to represent a child through a number. The snowman contains a list of the clothing the child needs. Each year the students buy gifts for a family of for the holiday season.
