Course Description: Students develop proficiency in designing and creating desktop-published projects, multimedia presentations/projects, and Websites, using industry-standard application software. Students apply principles of layout and design in completing projects. Students create portfolios that include a resume and a variety of desktop-published, multimedia, and Web-site projects produced in the course. Completion of this course is intended to prepare the student for industry certification/s. The course provides an in-depth overview of PowerPoint 2016. Other computer applications are explored including, but not limited to, Word 2016 and Publisher 2016. The course will cover all tasks and competencies required by the Virginia Department of Education for this course including:
· Implementing Virginia’s CTE Course Requirements

· Demonstrating Knowledge of Hardware, Software, and Operating Systems

· Preparing for Industry Certification
