Teach Your Monster To Read: A quick and free sign-up gets your child playing an interactive reading game unlike any other free site out there. There are three levels at which your child may begin reading/play. Choose from "First Steps", "Fun with Words", or "Champion Reader". Kids will beg to "play some more", and when it comes to reading, the answer is always, "Sure!"
Splash Learn - A great PreK - 2 reading game site (just choose the level that is right for you). Quick practice of those early literacy skills. A fun way for kiddos to get some extra practice. Have fun!
Starfall: This site is a staple of early literacy learning. It begins with letter recognition and sounds and progresses through early readers. There are many books grouped by a focused sound to help kids get that necessary phonics to visual text connection.
Cookie: Another widely used site to develop early literacy skills. This site is very engaging to kids as it is a games based learning model. Students are required to color letters, match sounds, or read site words. A great site to use as a "reward" for hard work!

TumbleBooks: Traditionally thought of as a picture book platform, Tumblebooks has added chapter books! This site offers a variety of reading choices from animated picture book read-alongs to chapter books. There is also a variety of non-fiction books, many with accompanying educational videos.

Either click away until you find some good games that align with your child's abilities and engagement, or ask your child's teacher for their most recent MAP Reading scores to find the "just right" level of practice.
