I started teaching in 1998 at San Lorenzo Elementary in Felton where I taught 4th, 5th, 5th/6th combo, and 6th grade. I moved to Main Street School in 2005 and taught 5th grade until our daughter was born. I took a few years off to focus on her, returning to Main Street in 2011 to teach Reading Intervention. In 2012 I started teaching 4th grade. I am thrilled that I am teaching at Main Street with kind and curious students, supportive families, and my amazing colleagues.
I am also a swimmer, competing when U.S. Masters National Meets are within a state or two of California. If I’m not at school, or at the pool, you can find me with my family, at my daughter’s swim meets, hiking, or reading with a cat on my lap.
I love teaching, the hope it instills, the laughter I share every day with my students. There is no place I’d rather spend my days. Every day brings new and exciting possibilities.
