General Music

Welcome to the Quinn Middle School Band Website.

Home to 5th grade band, 6th grade band, 7th grade band, and 6th/7th Grade Jazz Band

---------------------

Congrats to all students for a job well done at our performance on Monday, Dec 16th! You should be very proud of your concert!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is this new schedule confusing you and your student? Check out my "Upcoming Events" page for my google calendar. I have listed both the Quinn Middle School rotation (a 6 day rotation) and the Related Arts class rotation (a 4 day rotation). You can also import these events into your own family calendar and you'll be all set for the year. I've included concert dates as well.

Practice logs are due weekly. Extra copies can be downloaded on my handouts page.

Thinking about private lessons? It's not too late to sign up!!!

Consider the River's Edge School of Music! All lessons occur in HPS buildings and are reasonably priced private lessons!

All students are encouraged to enroll in after school lessons either through RESOM or a private company. This will be most helpful to those students beginning a brand new instrument, those that need a bit more 1:1 instruction, or those that are ready for new challenges!

"When people listen to music together, their neurons actually fire synchronously," says Daniel Levitin, Ph. D., a neuroscientist and musician. "For reasons scientists don't completely understand, this triggers the release of oxytocin, a hormone that helps you feel more tightly bonded to one another."
