The Yokosuka Middle School Information Center opened with the school in 2003 on Yokosuka Naval Base. The library has approximately 13,000 holdings, including books, eBooks, Audiobooks, and more. Many students are happy to find that it has a large graphic novel collection, a Lego wall, a coloring wall, a gaming center, a puzzle table, and much more.

Mission: The mission of the YMS Information Center is to further the DoDEA mission by preparing our military children to be responsible digital citizens, critical consumers of information, & life-long learners. We do this by teaching information literacy skills, encouraging inquiry & problem-solving techniques, & instilling in students a love of reading.
Vision: Our vision is that all YMS students & teachers will utilize the properly staffed Information Center as the digital and physical hub of the school. The Information Center will be an online & real learning commons where collaborative, rigorous teaching & learning happens, using the most innovative technologies and materials available.
