Bio: Hello! My name is Mrs. Botz. I live in Lorain with my three children. All of my children have attended St. Peter, and those who have graduated have continued their education at Elyria Catholic. I began my journey at St. Peter in 2022 working in the school kitchen. The following school year, I served as a kindergarten aide, and in 2023 I stepped into her current role as the school librarian and K–4 computer teacher.
I have always had a passion for teaching and I feel blessed to come to school each day to work with students. I enjoy fostering a love of reading and technology while supporting students’ growth academically and personally. St. Peter holds a special place in my heart, I am grateful and blessed to be part of such a strong and caring school community.
Favorite Saint: My favorite Saint is St. Mary because she is kind, loving, and always thought about others before herself. She teaches us to trust God and to be caring to everyone we meet.
Favorite Moment At SPS: When the library and computer lab are filled with curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
Favorite Outside-Of-Work Activity: My favorite outsire-of-work activity is pending time with my family and enjoying a good book.
Favorite Children's Book: My favorite children’s book is Perfectly Norman by Tom Percival. I love how it reminds students that being yourself is something to be proud of. The story encourages children to embrace their differences, celebrate their unique qualities, and be confident in who they are, teaching an important lesson about kindness, self-acceptance, and respecting others.
Favorite Place In NEO: My favorite place in NEO is Huntington Beach. I love sitting on the beach and reading a book.
Qualities Your Favorite Teacher Possessed: My favorite teacher was caring, creative, and always made students feel valued. She encouraged us to do our best, made lessons exciting, and listened to each student. Watching her inspire and guide us made me want to become a teacher myself, to share that same love of learning and support with my students.
