Tamaki Cluster - Years 3 to 8
Stonefields school, along with 14 other local schools, comprises the Tamaki Cluster. There are several sports events each term which our learners have the opportunity to participate in. Each event is open to different ages, usually years 5-8, but one event per term is extended to years 3-4. Our Tamaki Cluster events welcome all skill levels from beginners to experienced. It's a great way to try a new sport so come sign up and give a new sport, or your favourite sport a try.
AAIMS Eastern Zones (EZ) - Intermediates
Our school is also part of the AAIMS Eastern Zones Cluster. These events provide our Yr 7 and 8 learners with the opportunity to compete at a more advanced level, against a wide range of schools in East Auckland, and can lead on to Auckland wide Inter-Zone Finals.
SIGN UP REMINDERS
Parents and caregivers, please remind and support your learners - especially those in Years 3/4 who do not have Chromebooks - to sign up for the sports they’re interested in for the year ahead. In cases where there are not enough sign-ups for a particular sport, that event may be removed from the schedule.
Whānau volunteers are required for all sport events: Please earmark your calendar with the below dates to help as a parent volunteer where your child is interested in participating.
New for 2026 - All Tamaki Events: Schools are required to supply one umpire/ref per team entered. Whānau support will be essential to help us enter the maximum number of teams.

Whānau Volunteers a must
Attending Interschool opportunities is something we love to do, participating is loads of fun and we know these events give learners enriching, memorable experiences. They also involve a lot of organisation from teachers and require parental support as well. For us to safely take learners off site to events we need a number of parents to join us as supervisors and volunteers. We ask that you please have a look at the upcoming events calendar dates and plan ahead for events your learner(s) will want to participate in. When we send out the sports permission form please indicate you can help. We hope that by working together we can continue to have these wonderful opportunities available to our learners.
