Music From The Hills, hosted by John Uhlemann, every Sunday, 2 - 3 p.m., 107.3 FM, 96.3-HD2 is now airing.


Last Thursday, September 4th, Zeke gave us another superb evening of fun dancing.  VERY WELL DONE ZEKE and THANK YOU SO MUCH!

(DON'T FORGET) For this upcoming Thursday, September 11th, Folk Dance will be at the  St. Louis Activity Center, 5602 Arsenal Street, St. Louis MO, 63139, 7 - 9:30 p.m., instead of the Focal Point.  Thursday Night Folk Dance will continue at it’s usual location, The Focal Point, on Thursday, September 18. See map below.  For this evening, Barbara B will be the programmer.  GET READY for ANOTHER GREAT EVENING of DANCING with BARBARA B!  COME AND DANCE WITH US!

(NEW) September 21, Sunday, Music From The Hills, hosted by John Uhlemann, 2 - 3 p.m., 107.3 FM, 96.3-HD2John will be doing the Folk Revival in Latvia - lots of table harp music and some really nice tunes.


(NEW) September 28, Sunday, Music From The Hills, hosted by John Uhlemann, 2 - 3 p.m., 107.3 FM, 96.3-HD2John will be playing music of the Republic of Georgia - some surprisingly beautiful music with unique harmonies.


September 25-28, Tamburitza Extravaganza, at the Sheraton Westport Chalet, 900 W Port Plaza Dr., St. Louis, MO 63146.  There will be Music, Dancing, Singing Get Together, Concerts, Kolo Workshops and Education Seminars.  Along with the Extravaganza, will be the Balkan Life: Ethnographic Exhibit hosted by Marvin Moehle.  Marvin will have on display 51 authentic costumes.  His exhibit will be on display throughout the Extravaganza weekend.  Cost is $10.  Also, you are very welcome to come up and chat with Marvin about his costumes.  For more information about the Tamburitza Extravaganza click on (Tamburitza).


(NEW) October 5, Sunday, Music From The Hills, hosted by John Uhlemann, 2 - 3 p.m., 107.3 FM, 96.3-HD2John will be doing the Mandolin - its origins in the early Baroque as a court instrument, and then how it got into the folk music of Finland (!), Italy, Corsica, and even India and Myanmar.
