Csipke Tábor Hungarian Folk Dance Camp. Annual, week-long folk music and dance camp in the Irish Hills of Michigan. Csipke Tábor offers a rich immersion experience into authentic Hungarian folk culture, featuring programs for adults and children. Sponsored by the Csipke Ensemble.
East European Folklife Center (EEFC) - Producer of the Balkan summer workshops at Mendocino (CA) and Mt. Washington (MA); also maintains an E-mail list specializing in Balkan music and dance.
Folklore Village offers numerous folk events of all kinds throughout the year. Located in southern rural Wisconsin, Folklore Village is a venerable organization takes an active in preserving folk cultures.
The Hardanger Fiddle Association of America offers a 4-day workship in Norwegian fiddle music, dancing, and singing. The workshop is held annually during July, in rural Wisconsin. The workshops feature the exotic Hardanger fiddle. Fiddle loans, during the workshop or for extended periods, are available. Scholarships are available for dancers or fiddlers.
