Welcome to the International Folk Dance Association of University City, or IFDA. Incorporated in 1964, the IFDA has been serving the greater St. Louis area for over 50 years as a non-profit organization dedicated to the teaching and enjoyment of folk dances and to the sharing of knowledge and appreciation of folk cultures from around the world. The IFDA and its activities are open to anyone interested in international folk dancing or folklore.
For everyone's safety, you must be fully vaccinated to enter. Masks are optional. If you are attending for the first time, please record your last vaccination date at the door. The latest Covid booster is encouraged for all who are eligible.
Our friends at The Focal Point have generously allowed us the use of their beautiful dance floor on Thursday evenings.

Our Logo: The design at the top of this and other IFDA pages is the official logo of the International Folk Dance Association of University City, ©2023, and should not be used elsewhere except when referring to this organization or linking to this web site. The logo was designed in the Late Cretaceous, scratched from rock, glued back together, and fitted for prosthetic points by our intrepid dinosaur hunter and co-webmaster, Gene Woodford. On the date of discovery it was 67 million years old, so now the age is 67,000,001 years.
