Ms. Sarah Kramer - Artistic and Technical Director 

Sarah Kramer is the Director of the Theatre Arts Program at SJLS.  Sarah has dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theatre/Communications and Education.  She also studied voice and sang in concert and chamber choirs in college.  Sarah has participated as an actor, Artistic and Technical Director, tech designer, stage manager, and tech crew member for 52 plays and musicals over the past 25 years, including 14 musicals at St. John’s.  She taught fourth grade for seven years and middle school drama for two years.  She loves working with her talented directing team and student actors.  Sarah praises God for the opportunity to change young actors’ lives with the gift of performing.  Sarah is a professional voice over, stage, and on-camera actor.  www.SarahKramerVoiceOvers.com 

Mrs. Cindy Powers - Choreographer

Cindy is a former parent at SJLS, and continues sharing her love of dance and musical theatre. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre, with a focus on Acting from Illinois State University. College productions include Ensemble in Sweeney Todd,  "Brooke" in Noises Off and "Adelaide" in Guys and Dolls. After college, Cindy performed in numerous professional musical theatre productions in Chicago. Favorite professional roles include  “Lois/Bianca” in Kiss Me Kate,  & “Velma” in West Side Story. Previous productions choreographed at SJLS include Newsies, Oliver!, Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma!, Mary Poppins, Singing in the Rain, The Lion King, The Sound of Music, The King and I, Jungle Book and The Adventures of Lewis and Clark. Cindy is grateful for the opportunity to serve the students at SJLS though the Musical Theatre Program, and to work with such a talented directing team. “If you hit a wall, climb over it, crawl under it, or dance on top of it.”

Mrs. Angela D'Angelo - Music Director

Angela D’Angelo has begun her 18th year as the Music Theatre Director at St. John’s Lutheran School and has helped produce over thirty music theatre productions in the local community. Angela received her Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy with a concentration in Piano and a minor in Psychology. She has over twenty years of experience teaching general music classes, leading music therapy groups, conducting elementary and middle school choirs, and teaching private piano lessons. Angela is currently employed at SJLS as the General Music Teacher for PK – 5th grade, as well as the Choir Director for the middle school.
