Ms. Sarah Kramer - Artistic and Technical Director
Sarah Kramer is the Director of the Theatre Arts Program at SJLS and has dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theatre/Communications and Education. She also studied voice and sang in concert and chamber choirs in college. Sarah has participated as an actor, Artistic and Technical Director, tech designer, stage manager, and tech crew member for 61 plays and musicals over the past 27 years, including 16 musicals at St. John’s and 20 plays and musicals through Napa Youth Theatre, a non-profit educational performing arts company of which Sarah is a co-director. She taught fourth grade for seven years and middle school drama for two years. Sarah also coached the SJLS L.E.S.T. Drama/Forensics Team for the past three years. Sarah runs her own acting coaching business where she works one-on-one with kids and adults in the performing arts and public speaking. Sarah praises God for
the opportunity to change young actors’ lives with the gift of performing. Sarah is a professional voice over, stage, and on-camera actor.

Mrs. Angela D'Angelo - Music Director
Angela D’Angelo has begun her 20th year as the Music Theatre Director at St. John’s Lutheran School and has helped produce over thirty music theatre productions in the local community. Angela received her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy with a Piano concentration and a Psychology minor. Angela started her professional career at Sonoma Developmental Center as a Music and Rehabilitation Therapist working with adults with developmental disabilities. After a few years, she decided to switch gears by opening a music studio offering private piano lessons, general music classes for toddlers and preschoolers, and music summer camps for students in elementary school. It wasn’t long before she was being asked to teach general music classes at Sunrise Montessori, Montessori Children’s House, and St. John’s Lutheran School. She worked at St. John’s for 20 years, teaching music classes for preschool - 5th grade, serving as the choir director for 6th-8th grade, and being the music director for the theatre department. She is also the music director of Napa Youth Theatre, a non-profit educational theatre company offering workshops and theatrical programs for our community’s youth.
Ms. Cindy Powers - Choreographer
Cindy is a former parent at SJLS and continues sharing her love of dance and musical theatre. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre, with a focus on Acting from Illinois State University. College productions include Ensemble in Sweeney Todd, "Brooke" in Noises Off and "Adelaide" in Guys and Dolls. After college, Cindy performed in numerous professional musical theatre productions in Chicago. Favorite professional roles include “Lois/Bianca” in Kiss Me Kate, & “Velma” in West Side Story. Favorite productions choreographed at SJLS include Newsies, Oklahoma!, Mary Poppins, Singin’ in the Rain, The Lion King, and The Sound of Music. Cindy is also one of the main directors for Napa Youth Theatre which is a non-profit educational performing arts company serving kids in the area, enriching their development in so many ways! Art imitates life! Cindy is grateful for the opportunity to serve the students at SJLS though the Musical Theatre Program, and to work with such a talented directing team. “We can’t choose the music life gives us, but we CAN choose how to dance to it.”
