Welcome to the Reading Intervention Home Page
The reading intervention program serves students who have significant reading difficulties and are in need of targeted reading interventions. This supplements classroom reading instruction and provides direct instruction in small groups of no more than four students for 30 minutes each day. Intervention groups are flexible and target students based on specific and immediate needs. The groups also provide support for students with a focus on ensuring the students become proficient in grade level standards and can move forward independently. Parental involvement, ongoing progress monitoring, communication with classroom teachers, and homework are key components of the program.
