Classroom Management

In order to encourage each student to exercise self discipline and set approriate guidelines for themselves, along with ensuring all students safety we have a demerit card system. On the card are the categories for which the student is held accountable. The categories are:

• Respects God and Church
• Respects authority
• Respects self and others
• Respects learning environment
• Respects property
• Responsible for assignments
• Utilizes class time responsibly
• Assumes responsibility
• Other

When a student earns a demerit(s) it will be recorded on their demerit card and on Sycamore.

We will discuss this policy as a class, however, it is important that you discuss this as well at home. Remember we are here to guide your child to make good choices and it is not considered a punishment, but a consequence which will encourage them to make a better choice the next time.
