  • MO Open Education Resources Commons (OER) Hub - This tool provides FREE MO-aligned resources that have been vetted by MOREnet and/or DESE in all subject areas. This MO hub of the OER Commons website is new and ever-evolving, so check back often for new resources.

  • MO LEAP Blocks for ELA - This resource was created by MO teachers under the guidance of DESE. All resources are aligned to the MO Learning Standards. We have also downloaded all of the LEAP blocks and have housed them in a Google Folder for easy access.

  • ABCya - This site offers free reading and math games for grades K-5. All activities were created or approved by teachers.

  • Bib Me - Online Bibliography Maker

  • Book Box - Online stories that are read to the students with the words showing below. Great site for shared reading.

  • Children's Storybooks Online - Free books to read with young children, older children, and young adults. Some books even have audio.

  • Classroom Video On Demand - This site is a resource through our Library/Media curriculum and has resources for mostly for upper elementary and middle/high school level. Log in with your district email account to access this resource.

  • Conjugation - A fast and fun conjugation engine. Gives parts of speech and how to use the words in sentences.

  • Cookie.com - This site is geared towards PreK-2nd grade students. It includes reading, math, science, and arts/craft games and activities. It also includes projectable books and videos.

  • Discovery Education - This site has videos, interactives, articles, etc. It also has a quiz builder for assessments and a "studio" for teachers & students to create their own "boards". For this site, log into the district's CLEVER account and then click on Discovery Education.

  • Fun Brain - Reading and math games.

  • Google Drive - Using the students' Google accounts, students can write and collaborate with others. Have students "share" their work with the teacher, so the teacher can see revisions and add comments.

  • Highlights for Kids - The popular magazine offers a terrific site for reading activities.

  • International Children's Digital Library - The ICDL's goal is to build a collection of books that represent outstanding historical and contemporary books from around the world. Click on the "read books" link on the home page. This collection of books can be searched by age level and subject area.

  • Jayzee Bear - A preschool site for reading games (to be projected on whiteboard and used for whole group or small group lessons)

  • Learn360 - This site is a resource through our Library/Media curriculum and has videos, interactives, printables, games, and more! This is for all grade levels. Log in with your district email account to access this resource.

  • Lightbox (elementary level only) - Each elementary building has its own subscription. Please see your library media specialist for guidance on accessing this resource.

  • Lit2Go - A collection of stories, poems, non-fiction text, and more genres than you can think of. You can project the text on the white board, listen to it read aloud, or download a copy of it to read on their own. The readability of the text passages range from K-12. NOT exactly interactive, but a great resource for literature.

  • Little Bird Tales - A great site for digital storytelling. Upload pictures and type right into the program. Students can even record narration on each page!

  • Open Library - A great source of authentic documents and online books on a variety of subjects.

  • PBS Kids - This site offers videos and interactive learning games.

  • PBS Learning Media - Lessons, activities, and games for all grade levels. Just sign in and choose your local PBS channel for free access.

  • Quizlet - Create online quizzes and flash cards for vocabulary or class concepts. Students can review the vocabulary and play games with the words online. Also, students could create their own flash cards.

  • Read, Write, Think - Great site for English/Language Arts interactives for grades K-12.

  • Scholastic - Learning games, printables, and videos.

  • Scratch - Create your own interactive stories, animations, or games and share your creations on the web. Geared for elem/middle or even ELL or special needs students in high school.

  • Sight Words - At All Fun Apps, students can learn sight words for grades K-4. The words appear one by one on the screen. Students can read the words to themselves and then listen to the word read to them to check for accuracy. This can also be used whole group on the interactive whiteboard.

  • StarFall - Interactive games and books. Teachers can use these as interactive whiteboard activities or students can interact individually with the activities.

  • Storybird - Storybirds are short, art-inspired stories you make to share, read, and print. Read them like books, play them like games, and send them like greeting cards.

  • Tagxedo - Turns groups of words into artistic, engaging word clouds.

  • VisuWords - An online graphical dictionary. This shows students definitions and relationships to other words.

  • VocabAhead - Great for ELL students; has audio and video to illustrate vocabulary words.
