I'm Cédric De Groote, a member at the Institute for Advanced Study during the year 2021-2022. Previously, I was a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig and in László Székelyhidi's group at the University of Leipzig. Until August 2019, I was a graduate student at Stanford University, working under the supervision of Yakov Eliashberg.

My research concerns symplectic and contact topology, and more specifically contact homology. I am also generally interested in invariants arising from symplectic field theory, Floer homotopy theory, algebraic structures appearing in Floer theory, h-principles, virtual methods for dealing with transversality issues, and applications of sheaf theory to symplectic topology. My other interests include algebraic topology and low-dimensional topology.

Here you can check out my research, what I've taught, what I've written and what I'm involved in.
