The Ability Center

An adaptive open gym that reinvents the way people play.  It invites everybody you know to come and play “in a different pair of shoes”.  This includes Wheelchair Basketball programs.

Adaptive Aquatics YMCA Pabst Farms

Adaptive aquatics meets the needs of individuals with varying abilities, whether you're a beginner being introduced to the water or a lap swimmer working on skills and endurance, you will work with the instructors in a one-on-one or a small group setting.

Adaptive Rock Climbing Classes

Adventure Rock - Adventure Rock’s goal is to make the sport of rock climbing accessible to as many people as possible. Our adaptive climbing program takes the already existing abilities of a person and helps them participate in the sport of rock climbing. 

Adaptive Dance Classes

LC Dance adaptive classes are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of each individual dancer. We strive to improve coordination, balance, flexibility, and most of all self confidence of each dancer! Curriculum is designed with mental, physical, and/or cognitive limitations in mind. 

 Buddy Break

Buddy Break is a free monthly respite program for families of kids and young adults with special needs. It is offered Sundays, 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Hales Corners Lutheran Church.  Advanced registration is required.

Donna Lexa Art Centers

Donna Lexa Art Centers is a vibrant, innovative, inclusive art community for young adults and adults of all abilities. Grounded in Donna Lexa’s groundbreaking vision that everyone should have access to the arts, the DLAC strives to eliminate barriers to any student who has the desire to access the benefits of participating in the creative process. 

Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin

The Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin's mission is to provide support to Wisconsin families and individuals with Down syndrome and related disabilities through awareness, education, information, programs, services, and the exchange of ideas and experiences. 

Easter Seals

Recreational activities for teens and adults (ages 16+) at the Wil-OWay Recreation Centers, Easter Seals locations, and other community sites.

First Stage Next Steps

Using research-based best practices, Next Steps serves young people through our philosophy of teaching life skills through stage skills. We strive to help each student take their next steps as an artist and a person. First Stage creates a safe space for all students to be creative and be themselves without judgment or fear of failure. Guided by our philosophy of teaching life skills through stage skills, students will experience the joy of theater each day with a team of teaching artists and special education professionals. 

Healing Harmonies

We take the soothing sounds of music therapy and combine it with the creative expression of art therapy to form the perfect harmony of healing solutions. Our diverse offerings mean we have a customized treatment solution just for you. Even better, we provide our services with compassion and integrity by a caring and board-certified team. Children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities are able to move more freely, conquer life skills, improve social skills, and increase self-confidence. 

Katy's Kloset

Katy’s Kloset is a nonprofit lending library that accepts donations of good, used durable medical equipment for children and adults. This equipment can then be borrowed at no charge by those in need. Recipients may keep this equipment for as long as needed, and are asked to return it promptly when no longer needed, so it can be recycled again and put to good use.

Lake Country Fine Arts

We offer fine art classes throughout the year, including pottery, sculpting, painting, drawing and glass fusing for people of all ages and abilities, embracing people with special needs, liberating them and all of our students to have the joy to create beautiful memories and art creations.

Lifestriders

LifeStriders is a non-profit organization that provides life-enhancing, physical and psychological experiences and services, to individuals with special needs.

Milwaukee Ballet Tour de Force 

The cornerstone of our Inclusive Programming, Tour de Force is a multi-level program allowing more children with a range of abilities to try ballet for the first time. Together, with our Company and MBII dancers and the help of Children’s Hospital physical therapists, we have seen how ballet can transform young lives. 

Miracle League 

The Miracle League of the YMCA at Pabst Farms gives kids ages 4+ with varying abilities the opportunity to get off the bench and get onto the field to enjoy the game of baseball. Athletes will learn the fundamental skills needed, and have the opportunity to practice, as well as take part in competitive game play.  Athletes with cognitive and/or physical disabilities are invited to join us to play on a custom-designed field featuring a cushioned, rubberized, completely flat surface, helping to erase barriers to recreation. All areas of the field, including the dugouts and changing rooms/restrooms, are universally accessible.

The Sensory Club

As an all-inclusive, welcoming and accepting club, people of all ages and disabilities can come to feel their best and grow together. Members across the spectrum experience a safe haven to explore and satisfy their sensory needs in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. 

SEWASP= Southeastern Wisconsin Adaptive Ski Program

SEWASP (pronounced "see-wasp") provides adaptive alpine skiing and snowboard lessons for people with disabilities in southeastern Wisconsin and surrounding areas.  "Adaptive" refers to the modified equipment and teaching techniques used to enable skiers and snowboarders to participate safely and as independently as possible.

Team Up With Families

Our volunteer driven organization provides unique family centered activities that are physically inclusive and fun. 

TOP Soccer

TOPSoccer was started to provide young players with disabilities an environment filled with meaningful learning, developmental and physical participation opportunities through the game of soccer. 

Variety of Wisconsin

The Children’s Charity of Wisconsin serves children age 21 and younger who have a diagnosed or demonstrated physical disability, including but not limited to, children with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Rett syndrome, muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome, Angelman syndrome, epilepsy and amputees.

We Rock the Spectrum

WRTS is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment to foster learning, exploration and safe sensory experiences. Through our nonprofit My Brother Rocks The Spectrum Foundation, we provide social skills groups and activities for children across the spectrum. 

Zachariah's Acres

Their mission is to connect children with special health care needs, and their families, to nature. They hold a variety of free events throughout the year.
