September 11, 2024 - November 1, 2024 Students must register and pay by 3:35 pm on November 1, 2024. Late Fall registration will incur a non refundable $40 late fee per College Board.
The College Board allows campuses to establish internal deadlines, exam pricing and late testing policies. Students/families should be familiar with these policies before registering for AP exams. Students and families have agreed to the policies when registering and paying for the exams.
Registration for Spring courses -
January 14, 2025 - February 28, 2025 Students must register and pay by 3:35 pm on Feb 28, 2025. This is a hard deadline.
Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Flower Mound High School desires that all students take AP exams for the AP classes that they have taken. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving the money that class would cost for tuition at a college campus.
Registration is a two step process. BOTH steps must be done ON TIME, before the order deadline in order for FMHS to order an exam for you.
Step 1-get the join code for the course for which you want to take the exam. For courses at FMHS/LISD this is done through your teacher. They will give you the join code for your course during the first few weeks of the semester. If you wish to do an exam only registration contact Ms. Wiggins, FMHS Testing Coordinator at: wigginsk@lisd.net.
Step 2-Register and PAY for your exam (s) through Total Registration at:
THINGS TO REMEMBER ABOUT ORDERING YOUR AP EXAMS...ALL STUDENTS/PARENTS PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING!!!
Total Registration (where you order & pay for your exams) is a seperate application from College Board/My AP where you join the courses you are taking. They are NOT updated in real time! It must be done by hand, by the FMHS testing coordinator.
Do NOT worry if your exam says "NO" but you have paid for your exam in Total Registration. Again, do NOT go by your College Board account. If you have ordered/paid in Total Registration, you have an exam.
Total Registration will give you a message about join codes...do not worry about this; ignore it. It can't be turned off, but if you did what you were supposed to do, you got the join code from your teacher and you already joined your course in MY AP, you're good. Again, parents, your child gets the join codes from the teachers at the start of the semester or if you are taking an exam for independent study or took it in summer school VLA, you get the join code from the FMHS testing coordinator.
SUMMER VLA students-there are not course join codes for you; you will be an independent study/exam only code which you must get from the FMHS testing coordinator. Email her and she will give you the join code.
TO REGISTER-just do the two steps: join the course in MY AP on College Board, & pay for & order your exams on Total Registration. It's that simple!!!
Students and parents should do the registration together. Students may have info/knowledge that parents do not and it will save time by having them there to go through the process of registration.
Students should have only ONE College Board account and that account should show the student at Flower Mound High School, not your child's middle school. Please check your account for accuracy and that you have an email address that is correct. Make sure you are using your legal name, not a nickname or middle name on your College Board account. Only the student can correct his/her account information by contacting College Board. See the following to contact College Board about your student account: College Board Account Help

For Non-LISD Students who would like to request to test:
The Advanced Placement Program (AP) consists of 39 different college-level courses developed by the College Board. These courses allow students to engage in college-level coursework while still in high school. Each course culminates in a standardized assessment, or AP exam, which is administered on College Board designated days in May.
Students enrolled at a campus in Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) are eligible to participate in AP testing at LISD campuses. Please contact your campus testing coordinator for more information on how to register for an AP exam.
Students who are not enrolled at a LISD campus must complete and submit the 2024-2025 AP Testing Request form. The LISD Assessment Department will review the requests, determine eligibility, and request Proof of Residency documentation from individuals meeting the initial review’s eligibility requirements. Due to limited resources, LISD is unable to assess students who are not enrolled in LISD and live outside of LISD boundaries. LISD is unable to register non-LISD students after the fall registration deadline. Please be aware of the registration dates listed on the campus AP registration website.
Please contact the LISD Assessment Department at 972-350-0960 with questions.
