ABOUT ME

I am entering my 23rd year of teaching. I taught in Illinois for the first 8 years of my career (1 in 2nd grade, 1 in 5th, and 6 in 6th grade). We moved to Iowa to be closer to my wife's family and I taught 5th grade Reading/Language Arts and Science at the West Marshall School District in State Center, Iowa for 8 years. I am entering my 7th year as a teacher at St. Edmond (5 in 6th and 2 in 4th grade).

While here at St. Edmond, I will be teaching 4th grade this year. I will also be keeping myself busy by coaching Middle School Football, Varsity Girls Basketball, and Middle School Girls Track.

I have been married to my wife, Nicole, for 24 wonderful years. We have 3 children. Malorie, 22, lives in Cedar Rapids while working at TJ Maxx. Jed, 20, is a junior at Iowa State University. Bo, 18, is a freshman at Iowa Central. A majority of our time revolves around our kids' activities. Spending time watching them in marching band, school plays/musicals, cross country, basketball, soccer, and band/choir concerts. We keep ourselves very busy.

I am an avid sports fan. My favorite teams are the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, and St. Louis Cardinals. Growing up in Illinois, I am a big University of Illinois fan. Since moving to Iowa, I have found time to support the Cyclones of Iowa State!!!
