In this project, we were put into groups to create bridges made of only 100 toothpicks and glue. We had to create a sturdy bridge. There is a machine that tested to see who's bridge was the strongest. We did exercises that proved triangles are stronger than squares, so we incorporated many triangles into our designs. This project had us thinking outside the box to come up with a bridge that would be strong while only using 100 toothpicks. Our bridge ended up being the strongest, other than one that didn't break because of its shape. I was very proud of how our bridge turned out. This was a fun project that taught us about what would be the strongest shapes.
