* Education and experience

 * Graduate of Spearfish High School and Black Hills State University with a Bachelors Degree in Education. I have  a middle school endorsement as well as a minor in Industrial Technology.  Besides teaching I have coached multiple sports and have also taught Driver Education.  I have been the advisor to several groups and organizations within the middle school and high school

 * Family:

Wife:-Marcie- We have been married for over half our lives (CRAZY)! She is  a social worker @ Northern Hills Training Center.   She is also an avid  runner  that enjoys competing in half marothons and road races. She likes biking and floating down Redwater River in the summer. She is an animal lover and especially likes our 3 dogs and watching our  horses out in the pasture. She loves being a Grandma and hanging out with our family!

Children -My son Stran  is married to Kayla Holben and they live in Whitewood with their son Oliver.  Stran is a High School Ag Teacher and FFA advisor in Sturgis. My daughter Shaylie is married to Dashton Edgren  and they will soon be moving  to  Whitewood with their son Sevyn . Shaylie is a stay at home mom that also has a marketing business. 

* Favorite Things- Family, food and football especially all at the same time-I also love living in the country with our horses and dogs!

 *School Things-

* 7th graders are my favorite age group in the middle school! I know the middle school years can be challenging and 7th grade can be a big adjustment with many highs and lows.   I want to celebrate the good times with you and help you out with the not so good times-Please don't be afraid to share  your successes in and out of our classroom with me and please let me know how I can help to make this a great school year!
