Phrase of the Week:
The only thing we have to decide is what to do with the time we have been given.
Hoping that all of you are finding new ways to positively use this gift of time. We all would certainly rather be following our regular routine. However, we will continue to make the best of our "new normal".
Announcement:
Grades for the 3rd nine weeks have been entered in progress book. Please check those grades. Also, I sent emails to some of you concerning your 3rd nine weeks grade. Please check your South Range emails.
CHEMISTRY:
1. We are going to move into Ch 17 (instead of Ch 12). I would like to save Ch 12 for when we are in our regular classroom setting. I will be putting files into your "google classroom" as we navigate this chapter. I will tell you when files have been placed on google classroom, and how you will use them.
2. Before we actually look at Ch 17 lecture notes, we are going to look at a few short videos related to weather as last week in Ohio was "Severe Weather Awareness Week". (There are a few parts of Ch 17 when we will bring weather related topics into the discussion, and weather is certainly a great topic!).
3. Go to: sciencekids.co.nz
4. Click on "Videos", then click on "Weather Videos": There are 10 short weather videos that I simply want you to watch.
5. You do not have a homework assignment, however I will be putting a question on the Ch 17 test related to this assignment. I will ask you to tell me which of the 10 weather topics you would be most interested in learning more about. So, after you watch the 10 short videos, jot down the topic at the end of your Ch 10 notes, and you will have it ready to go when you take your Ch 17 test next week.
6. Enjoy the videos...weather is amazing!!!!
ADV CHEM:
1. Your homework for today is to finish WS B from Ch 25. Both WS A and WS B are due tonight by 11:59 p.m. You can email through "google classroom" or you can email me through your South Range email. You can email BOTH assignments at the same time.
2. We will spend Tues/Wed reviewing Ch 25, and you will have an open notes test on Thursday. (more details will follow, but basically, I will post the test Thursday morning, and your handwritten responses will be due to me by Thursday at 5:00 p.m.)
