About Our Program

• Our classroom fully values the importance of play in young children and devotes at least half of our preschool day to free play opportunities utilizing both student and teacher-initiated ideas.

• The other half of our day consists of organized classroom opportunities such as songs, games, lesson exploration and discovery, as well as puppet shows and story time.

• Preschool children have the opportunity to work one on one with the high school "teachers" who are exploring careers in the early childcare field. 

The Little Red Playschool Lab is open to Souderton Area School District parents and their pre-school children.  If you have any friends that might be interested in the program, please feel free to pass along this information. 

High school students work under Mrs. Doyle's supervision to carry out a program designed to encourage social, emotional, mental, and physical development. This pre-school experience will focus on art, literacy, math, science, and free play.

Children attend two days a week- Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:20- 11:00 a.m. The time may be extended until 11:30 depending on the High School schedule.  The enrollment fee for the 2024-2025 school year is $250. A $50 registration deposit (refundable if class is filled) will be collected the year prior to your child's start date.  Please look for an email to confirm the date and your registration information. The tuition balance is due when the program starts. Make checks payable to Souderton Area High School-Little Red Playschool.
