Welcome to Mrs. Daigle's Site!

Welcome to Mabelle B. Avery and Somers High School grades 6-12 speech and language services. I am Anne Marie Daigle, M.S., CCC - SLP and I provide speech and language services to students in grades 6-12 at both MBA and SHS I have been happily working with students in Somers since 1998. Services at the middle and high school levels are most often direct services to students on IEPs and 504 plans. When needed short term interventions and consultations are also available. At this level services are often for the following areas:

*Listening Attention/Comprehension

*Stuttering

*Voice Therapy

*Inference

*Main Idea/Details - Summarizing

*Vocabulary Development

*Grammar

*Social Language

*Comprehension

*Oral Expression

***Speech Sound Production - Students who have significant speech sound production errors which impact intelligibility and/or reading/writing skills may be provided direct services under an IEP or 504 plan. Students with 1 or 2 individual sound errors are not typically seen by the SLP at this level but consultation can be made or indirect service through home practice can be attempted. However, if you have a question or concern please contact me and we can talk about next steps.

These services are provided through direct work with the student as well as through working with kids in the classrooms and the classroom teachers. Please contact me at 860-749-2270 ext. 5102 or at anne.marie.daigle@somers.k12.ct.us if you have questions or concerns about your child.
