MANY EVENTS ON TAP

 

The ISF Junior Women's World Championship will begin in 19 days in Brampton (ON), Canada. The championship will feature 16 teams from all five regions in the 19-under division. For all the latest information on the tournament, visit the official event website at www.jwwc2013.com.

 

Softball is also on the program of the 9th World Games in Cali, Colombia commencing in 43 days. Five teams, Argentina, Aruba, Colombia, Cuba, and Venezuela, will participate. The World Games features sports and disciplines who are not presently on the Olympic Games program. This is the fourth appearance for softball, who is a charter member of the International World Games Association, starting in 1981.

 

Also on tap for softball is the 8th World Masters Games in Torino, Italy in August. Softball is the second biggest sport behind football/soccer with over 800 participants. Between 14,000 and 15,000 participants are expected to compete in 30 sports and 160 disciplines for athletes 35 years of age and older.
