- Kindergarten: Keyboard unit will be later in the year and reinforce music concepts that they have learned throughout the year. They will work on high and low, loud and soft, and finding patterns in the music.
- 1st Grade: Students will use My First Piano Adventure: Lesson Book A by Faber. This book is a great introduction to the keyboard and how to start making music right away. They will also work on creating their own music!
- 2nd Grade: Students will use Christal Hamann's Piano Primer which is available here for those wanting a copy to practice at home. Students will create their own 2 hands music at the end of the unit.
- 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades: Students will use Alfred's Basic Piano Library. If you are interested in practicing at home these books are available at most music stores. All students will create their own musical work on the keyboards during our unit.
- 6th Grade: Students will be creating original music using the keyboards. They can find their assignments and more info in their google classroom.

Sunflower is accepting donations of old piano books for beginners or young piano players. If you are done with them, we could use them at school! Thank you for remembering us when you are cleaning out the piano bench!
