Wed. 5/23/18 Senior Walk at Kimpton, Lakeview and Elementary Schools - Starting at 1:00 p.m.
The senior walk is an opportunity for graduates to walk the halls of their elementary, intermediate and middle school one last time and get "high fives" from the younger students.--Seniors will need to wear their cap and gown to participate!  The Senior Walk is a voluntary "all or nothing" activity meaning that if you go to an elementary school, you'll be going to Lakeview and Kimpton, too.  Seniors interested in participating must sign up online by Friday, May 18th.

The walks takes less than five (5) minutes each. Once the walk is concluded at the elementary school, seniors will drive to Lakeview and then drive to Kimpton. Please CAR POOL to these locations, as some elementary schools have limited parking. If you did not go to a Stow-Munroe Falls elementary school, you can select one you'd like to "adopt" during sign-up.

NOTE FOR PARENTS: For security purposes, parents are not permitted to attend this event because school is in session.

Senior Walk Schedule:

1:00 p.m. - Seniors arrive at Kimpton
1:45 p.m. - Seniors arrive at Lakeview
2:30 p.m. - Seniors arrive at elementary buildings

If you wish to participate, fill out this online form: Senior Walk Sign-Up Link

DECORUM:

Graduation from high school is a milestone in the lives of our students and their families.  The dignity of the occasion can best be observed by refraining from whistling, cheering or applauding for any one individual student.  Congratulations may be demonstrated by applause for the entire group after the last graduate has been awarded his/her diploma.  Those students who join their classmates at commencement will be expected to behave in a manner befitting the occasion. Guests are also asked to maintain decorum commensurate with a formal event:

  • Please hold all applause and cheering until the last graduate’s name is called.
  • No horns, no signs, no bottles, no beach balls, no balloons, etc.
  • Graduates and/or guests choosing not to abide by these rules will be escorted from the ceremony.
  • Please remain in your seat for the entire ceremony. Movement on the floor is distracting to the guests in the stands, and it is disrespectful to speakers and diploma recipients.
  • As a courtesy to those around you, please turn off pagers and cell phones during the ceremony.

We ask your help in making the ceremony a pleasant experience for all by attentively considering the rights and feelings of the other participants and guests.
