What images can we use?
Are there specific licenses we need to be looking for when finding images to use on the website or do they fall under fair use since we're a school website?
That is a fantastic question!
While we are a public school system, we cannot use any images we want, which is part of why it's so important we start taking more pictures ourselves. But, our new websites look so good when we use nice, high-definition pics, so here are some safe, legal options.

This site has photos AND videos. All free to use.
Pics4Learning offers a safe, free image library for education. Teachers and students can use the copyright-friendly photos and images for classrooms, multimedia projects, websites, videos, portfolios or any other project in an educational setting. It’s easy to use, and all of the copyright information is available in a simplistic bibliography underneath any chosen photo.
Photos for Class is similar to Pics4Learning. You simply run a search, click on a thumbnail and the photo downloads with the copyright information as a caption on the photo.
