Students will learn the basic vocabulary of color theory, create their own color wheel and use what they learned about color theory to create various projects throughout the marking period.
In the visual arts, color theory is a body of practical guidance to color mixing and the visual effects of specific color combination. There are also definitions (or categories) of colors based on the color wheel: primary color, secondary color and tertiary color.
Student projects include; Value Scale, Color Wheel, Intensity Columns, Four Color Scheme Still Life, Watercolor, Performance Based Exam.
