Middle School is the transition between elementary school and high school. This is the time when students need to become responsible for their education. It's time to learn to manage time, a busy schedule juggling academic demands and after school activities, social demands, and time to just take care of yourself. Remember to eat well, rest, exercise regularly, reach out for help when you need it, and take a few minutes each day to stay organized so that you can handle it all smoothly. Here are some resources that may help. :)
Remember that your teachers and the school staff are here to support your success. Please, talk to someone if you need help with anything.
The LOMS Counseling staff have lots of great resources for homework help, study skills, social and friendship skills, and high school and college planning.
If you would like to chat with a counselor, stop by the office to make an appointment.
The counselors are there to go to for help with just about everything in your personal life-- they know what to do, who to contact, and how to help while protecting your confidentiality.
They are available to help to you with anything at all. You can stop by and talk to them (in the main office) during school hours.
