SLHS Music Theatre

We are proud to announce the 2021 Spring musical: "Oklahoma!" The show will be performed in a "cast album" format complete with song and dialog. While nothing about this year is traditional, we take pride in the great tradition of musical theatre here at SLHS!

Auditions will be held in early December

The Music Department at Saranac Lake High School is proud to produce a Spring Musical each March. Participation in the musical is based on auditions that occur the week prior to Winter Break. Students are assigned roles based on the threefold audition process: singing, dancing, and acting. Roles vary in size from lead roles to supporting cast roles. The number of students selected to perform in each musical varies based on the selected show as well as the talent pool so as to produce top-notch productions each year.

Past productions include, but are not limited to:

  • Bye Bye, Birdie
  • The Drowsy Chaperone
  • Once Upon a Mattress
  • How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
  • Les Miserables
  • The Music Man
