Policies and Requirements

Graphing Calculator - Juan Diego students will be using TI-84 graphing calculators.  Parents are asked to provide one for each student.  If you have questions or if this is a challenge, speak with your child's teacher.

ALEKS - ALEKS is a web-based subscription software program that adapts to individual student needs. ALEKS use will be part of the quarter grade in almost all math classes this year.  The purpose is to give students a little extra practice where they need it, be it brushing up on arithmetic skills or practicing skills from last week or getting a jump on material that will be taught later in the course.  We have seen some very promising results using this software, including better performance on class tests and standardized tests.
