Independent Reading Projects

Our Independent Reading Projects are term long projects that children complete over the term during independent time. They allow the student to see the whole project at the start thus promoting agency, time management and choice. Children choose their book and use the project to guide their responses, ensuring the engage deeply. IRP slides link to our student goals on Linc-Ed (HERO) and can be used as evidence for mastery of goals. These projects are usually used as extension projects. This terms project is fiction based.
