Home and auto will cover areas within the topic of Home and Auto Maintenance.

Auto Major Topic Areas

• Ignition System

• Fuel System

• Exhaust System

• Exterior (Paint, Chrome, Wax, Polish) 

• Interior Detailing 

Supplies Needed

• Folder for class materials

• Notebook

• Pencils

Students will be expected to bring their folder, notebook, and pencil every day. Notes will be taken and graded and assignments given and graded.

Grading Scale 

A 94-100 C 73-76 

A- 90-93 C- 70-72 

B+ 87-89 D+ 67-69 

B 83-86 D 63-66 

B- 80-82 D- 60-62 

C+ 77-79 F 59 and Below

Classroom Rules (All classes and Labs)

• All students will respect each other, the instructor and the equipment.

• All safety rules will be followed. If they are not we will not work in the shop. 

• No student can leave class without permission.

• No work will take place in the shop without Mr. Butt or another SHOP CERTIFIED teacher in attendance. Substitutes without shop certification cannot let students work in the shop. 

Other general shop information. 

The shop must be kept clean. This means cleaning the shop EVERY day. 

Automobiles can only be brought in or out of the shop before 11a.m. and after 1. p.m. this is so we do not conflict with the elementary. 

Remember what goes around comes around. Help me and I help you and vice versa.
