Blue Valley Community Action Partnership Scholarships….. Applicant must plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college and demonstrate financial need, reside in Butler, Fillmore, Gage, Jefferson, Polk, Saline, Seward, Thayer or York county.  Applicant must meet the income guidelines listed on pg. 2 of the application and submit a narrative following application guidelines…..$500…..Feb. 1

Susan Thompson Buffett Scholarship…..Applicants need to be a resident of the state of Nebraska and graduating from a Nebraska high school.  Applicants must demonstrate need for financial assistance in order to attend school and have achieved at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA in high school.  Applicants must have also completed the FAFSA and have received back the Student Aid Report (SAR) listing your EFC.  Applicants must also plan to attend a Nebraska Public post-secondary school such as UNO, UNL, UNK, Chadron, Peru, Wayne, SCC, Metro or NECC.  On-line applications open Nov. 1.  Go to www.buffettscholarships.org to obtain and/or complete the application…..Feb. 1  (applications open Nov. 1)

Nebraska Press Association Foundation, Inc. scholarship…..Applicants must be graduates of Nebraska high schools enrolled or planning to enroll in post-secondary educational programs in Nebraska-based colleges and Universities leading to careers in print journalism, specifically, editorial, photography, circulation, production or advertising…..$2000…Feb. 16

Southeast Community College Scholarships…..must be a U.S. citizen, graduating from high school in May. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of Jr. year.  After completing the on-line application please have your transcript sent to the attention of the Scholarship Committee…..Apply on-line at www.southeast.edu/scholarships  ….. *BD Columbus scholarship Program….applicants must have a minimum ACT of 18 or higher OR Compass scores of Writing 64, Reading 80, Math 52.  Must also have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be admitted into the program before submitting this application.  Acceptable technical degree programs are electric/electrical mechanical, mechatronics, machine tool, mold maker or manufacturing engineering tech.  Awardee will have a 2 year work commitment to BD upon the completion of the degree.  Must be admitted into the program of study prior to submitting an application…..$2000/yr…..Feb. 24

Maynard Jensen American Legion Memorial Scholarship Program….Must be a 2018 graduate, be a son/daughter, grandchild or great-grandchild, adopted or stepchild of members of Department of Nebraska, The American Legion or POW, MIA, KIA, or any veteran that was a current American Legion member at time of death, plan to enroll full time at an accredited Nebraska institution of higher education to include university, college, technical school (public or private).  Applications are available on-line at http://www.nebraskalegion.net/programs/scholarships.html

Central Community College Assessment Advantage Scholarship...This is based on the College Assessment(s) you have had submitted.   You must have completed the admissions application for CCC and have had your assessment scores submitted to CCC.  On-line applications are available at ccc.awardspring.com …..Mar. 1

Central Community College Transition Advantage Scholarship…..those having completed 12 hours of early entry credit from CCC will be considered for this scholarship.  The scholarship would then waive the cost of 12 credit hours of tuition.  Apply on-line at ccc.awardspring.com …..$1150…..Mar. 1
