Wayne State College Rural Health Opportunities Scholarship (RHOP) – High School seniors from rural Nebraska may apply for this competitive program. Selection is based on Academic preparation, grades, college entrance exam scores and potential. Applicants must also make a commitment to return to practice in rural areas of Nebraska and lastly, a detailed essay about why you believe you are qualified for this program. Finalists will be invited to a personal interview. You must have applied and been accepted to the college first. Medical areas accepted are Medical Lab Science, Dental Hygiene, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physicians Assistant, and Radiography. The Hagan Scholarship Foundation– Must be a graduate of the class of 2019, have of 3.5 GPA or better and a 23 or higher ACT. Must work 240 hours prior to the start of each academic year of college. Recipients must enroll full-time at a 4-year school the first semester out of high school. Susan Thompson Buffett Scholarship…..Applicants need to be a resident of the state of Nebraska and graduating from a Nebraska high school. Applicants must demonstrate need for financial assistance in order to attend school and have achieved at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA in high school.
