Our Security team continue to have reports of bikes being stolen and are catching bike thieves on campus. If you see anything suspicious report it to Security Control on 0114 222 4085 . The people stealing bikes can be violent and are often wanted by police for other offences so do not approach them.
And please, upgrade your cable lock for a good quality D lock. We had an attempted theft yesterday on quite an expensive bike, the lock would have cost a few pounds but the bike cost hundreds. Advice is to spend 10% of the value of the bike locking it up, and as a minimum have a good D lock even if you consider the value of your bike to be low.
