Local Elections we be held across the UK on Thursday 2nd May. In Sheffield, residents will be electing local councillors, as well as voting for the Mayor of South Yorkshire.
There are also many other local elections taking place across the country, so no matter where you live, have a look below to see what election may be taking place in your area. You can do this here
One of the key values that The Sheffield College encourages among students is ‘Active Citizenship’ both within and outside of the College. Voting in elections is a key way to be an active citizen and have your say in democratic processes that will affect you. It is also great practice for the upcoming General Election.
