Welcome to third grade! My name is Mrs. Jennifer Huyett. I am a magna cum laude graduate of Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I am certified in both elementary and early childhood education. I earned my master's degree in curriculum and instruction, with additional credit hours in instructional technology. This is my twenty-fifth year of teaching at Whitfield. I have previous teaching experience in rural, urban, and suburban educational settings, as well as experience in primary and intermediate grades. Additionally, I have served as a track and field clinician for high school students, using my knowledge as a former collegiate athlete and track and field NCAA All-American. I served as a site liaison for Girls On The Run of Berks County, and have previously supported our Whitfield girls as a head coach for the program. I have also served as a member of our elementary SAP team (student assistance program). The time I have spent teaching and learning in these various settings and capacities have been valuable and rewarding opportunities. Each year I look forward to meeting new students and having a chance to learn and grow with them! Our goal is to have fun, learn from one another, and grow to learn about ourselves, in our strengths and areas of challenge!
