Vocabulary
Students will be given a list of root words every week. They will research and discover the origin and meaning of these roots. In addition, they will identify other words that contain the same roots. The words will correspond with the books they are reading in reading class.
The majority of vocabulary work will be completed in class. Any work not finished will be assigned for homework.
Weekly formative assessments will be given.
